How do I create a Talk Tree?

When you’re ready to analyze real classroom discussions, the Talk Trees platform can transform a classroom recording into a Talk Tree in three simple steps. And coming soon, you’ll be able to generate Talk Trees from live classroom discussions through real-time streaming so no recording required.

Record a classroom discussion

Use any device with a built-in microphone (phone, tablet, or laptop) to record a lesson from your class. No video please.

Upload it to Talk Trees

Upload your audio recording to the Talk Trees app to make a tree and see your student talk made visible. If you feel more comfortable, you can transcribe the audio and just send us the deidentified transcript instead.

Have a conversation with your students

Use built-in conversational scaffolds to share Talk Trees with your students and invite them to reflect on their class conversations.
